A good source of information for this type of query is the Rome2Rio website or its app. https://www.rome2rio.com

In the case of Rome to Naples, the train is shown as your best choice, but other options are offered. If you click on any of the choices, you will get additional information on times, prices, etc..

Miss G's recommendation is spot on. This is the go to source for information about European train travel. Trains are a very easy way to travel providing you can manage your own luggage. You won't find porters at train stations any more. You would have one change of trains at Roma Termini station, if going to Naples directly on arrival from Canada.. While advance purchase of train tickets can save money, they are nonrefundable. So if travelling on your arrival day, just buy them at the airport train station.

Personally, I'd just fly  to Naples, unless you are planning several days in Rome before boarding your cruise.

Hello,

We are wondering how to get from Rome to Napes without driving? Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Denise in Toronto

We are leaving a cruise in Florence (Livorno) in May and rejoining the cruise in Naples. We are taking the train from Florence to Naples and our train has a stop in Rome. Easy🙂

We did both legs of Rome (Civitavecchia)-Naples and Naples-Rome last July and used Rome Chauffeur for those transfers as well as transfers from Fiumicino-Rome and back. Also used them on prior trips and have been responsive, punctual, reliable and provided all around consistent great service.  They are our go-to car service in Rome.

I remember those days - we've done that also and worked well.

We've taken the bus before also and train is by far more comfortable.

Now with 2 kids in tow, 4 suitcases, 4 carry-ons 🙂 it's become a bit more of a haul so we had to forego the ease of the train for convenience in our situation.
