So I booked the Joy for April 8th 2023 last week. We booked a haven aft facing suite, so typically we get double points for being in a haven so would that mean we would get triple what we should have gotten ? So we would already be getting 14 but now would it be 21,28, or 35?

You'd get 4 points per night with this promo.  First point per night is the one everyone gets, 1 extra point per night for Haven/Suite, 2 extra points per night from the promo.

Where do you find the confirmation codes that you have listed?  I booked through a travel agent and don't see any codes on their confirmation.  That is the only one that I have.  I can't find any detailed confirmation on ncl.com.  Where would I look?  A NCL agent told me last night that my 1/22 cruise doesn't qualify for double points even though it is on the Latitudes Insider offer list and I have a screenshot of it.  I went on two cruises last year that were supposed to be double points and did not get the extra points for either cruise.  Customer service would not help even though I had a transcript of my online chat with an NCL agent confirming that I would receive double points for both cruises.  It has been very frustrating.

Check out post #13.  Some group codes don't qualify & that may be the reason you don't qualify.

good point about the group codes.  Otherwise, all 2023 sailings are eligible for the double points right now (not just the ones they show for the past guest offer), provided you booked during the stated booking window, or had NCL re-do your booking to include the current offers

I would contact my travel agent and ask them which promo codes are present on the original confirmation NCL sent them. In our case our TA always sends us both the NCL confirmation as well as their Invoice (which is probably similar to what you receive from your TA).

I can't answer directly but do know the extra points must be available at the time of booking.  If the offer wasn't active when booked extra points don't apply.

correct, you would have to have it re-booked to get the extra point.  But there is a possibility that the price has gone up or you'd lose some other promo that you had previously.  But if the price has dropped and all the other promos are the same, then it's a no brainer.  Assuming you're still outside of final payment

Looks like a New England/Canada sailing I'm on in September now has the extra points offer, but the reservation I did for it last summer doesn't show the code. Anyone know if you can ask NCL to add the promo to your previous booking?

Many have called to ask for the extra point.  Some have reported it being added and receiving an invoice showing the LATDBLX promo.  I called, was told that it was added, but a later invoice still showed LATITUDE.  I don't trust that.  I cancelled and rebooked several 2023 cruises to have invoices that actually indicated LATDBLX.  There was one that I couldn't because NCL had transitioned to the "guarantee" booking for the cabin category I wanted and it was a B2B so I didn't want to lose the room.  That will be my test case, but I'm not optimistic.  It really doesn't matter because I'm past that meaningful Platinum threshold, and most future level upgrades don't mean very much.

It would be really cool if all of the NCL TAs understood this promo. We were on the Dawn in December and were told 2 extra points per night if you book through 1/31/23. We weren't prepared to book while on board because we had to talk to our daughters.

We decided to book directly with NCL as we're having problems with our current TA. We booked online and it wasn't clear that we would get 2 additional points per night when we made the reservation, but when we received the confirmation email it had the LATDBLX code on it.

When we called NCL the next day to book a cabin for our daughter (because we're paying for it), the TA said we would only get two points per night. I said it should be two ADDITIONAL points per night. She allegedly checked with her supervisor, came back and said 2 points per night. I didn't get the impression this TA was very experienced. I hung up and called again, got a different TA who also didn't sound very experienced who said the same thing. I hung up and called a 3rd time and got a TA who sounded a lot more experienced. He confirmed the 2 extra points per night if you book through 1/31/23.

Hmm - my confirmation for my upcoming cruise on the Escape has this code but as I'm in a Studio I'm not sure I get the extra points.  It'll be interesting to see what happens.  Interesting to note - it was not on my original confirmation but when I called for a price drop and to make final payment the subsequent confirmation I received shows this code.

You'll get the extra points. I only sail in studios and am now platinum after 4 cruises. All 3 cruises I took in 2022 gave me triple points.

I have a feeling this is a leading indicator of point inflation, as we have seen in many frequent flier and casino point programs lately, and it is a way comparatively to give fewer points to base-level sail-away cruisers.  I would not be surprised if the benefits at each tier are reduced in the near future, such that cruising x number of days does not result in more benefits than one would have received under the previous regime from cruising that same number of days. 😞
