Shrinking Casino Deals

If a ships cabins are being sold  out  the likely hood of casino deals is   not going to happen  . Casino deals happen when there are many open cabins & not expected to sell or pay for the cabin & get all  the  perks for free id the best deal .We got that on 2 Celebrity cruises in March 2023

The cost of the cruises for a balcony were very reasonable as well & we are Elite plus with Celebrity for additional free perks

From what I've been seeing they are reaching capacity BECAUSE OF casino deals. Last summer Celebrity Blue Chip was giving away cabins left and right including to people who said they had not even gambled onboard before. I get a semi-regular stream of offers for cruises through land-based casinos. I really feel like this is why their advertised prices (especially suites) have been so high lately because they are giving away half the ship through offers on the side. All that being said I think I get maybe 1 offer a year from Blue Chip and I am a Sapphire ranked player. Haven't cruised with them since Jan 2019 so you'd think they'd get the message and start cranking out some offers to me.

It is strange how Blue Chip makes offers . We still haven't figured out  their system  .The last deal we got wasn't free cabin but 3 free   ppd gratuities ,classic drink package & wifi  all free  .Still that is a lot of savings .We do these 2 cruises B2B in March  on Soltice . I do   Fun slot Pulls & Fun Craps rolls   for cruise critic members  . We do them at b=night because better chance of wining in the slots . The Fun Craps rolls are based only on pass line ,behind pass line odds & the back line numbers only . all i need is a lucky roller & we make a good pay day

I am Sapphire with Celebrity, too - I think it’s odd that I rarely get emails with offers, but if I call BCC, I can pretty much get a comped concierge or aqua class cabin on any cruise I want.  I have 5 cruises booked for 2023, I am most looking forward to a b2b at the end of February on Equinox.

  • 3 weeks later...

Booked my last 4-5 cruises through an independent casino rep who books through the BCC.

They have been comping concierge class  and I have paid to upgrade to the retreat.

Still getting offers for concierge class comped.

The net has been around half the listed price of the Retreat.

That all changed recently.

Tried to book a cruise in April and inquired about the price on a SS or CS.

They came back with no discount and quoted the same price as the website.

When I inquired ,they said BCC does not want to give any comps on suites.

So they did not even offer the discount that would have been the cost of a standard cabin.

Looks like I'm back to booking through a travel agent and not worrying about how many hours I spend in the casino.
