But maybe the lower prices, big beautiful ships, delicious food, helpful and friendly staff and/or their inviting private island would help. 😃 My only point was that Royal continually cuts back, while other lines are improving their experience. Chips are a small part of it. Have looked at their ships, itineraries, an talked at length to neighbors who have sailed on MSC multiple times, and quite honestly we were underwhelmed by what we saw and heard. Not our cup of tea.

I'm Diamond on Royal, and since 1990, I've only been on Carnival 3 times, but it's striking the way the two cruise lines are going in oposite directions when it comes to food. Someone had posted that carnival will charge you for a second entree
deliver42 Posted June 30, 2023 #53 Share Posted June 30, 2023 I believe first and seconds are free, then they charge. By the way, lobster is charged for the 2nd one, but only $6.95, not $16.95 that Royal charges.
JTBCruiser Posted July 1, 2023 #54 Share Posted July 1, 2023 On Serenade this past April, asked and was told they no longer have and the only place to get them was through room service.

neverbeenhere Posted July 1, 2023 #56 Share Posted July 1, 2023 I was going to bring my best friend on a cruise, but now I’m afraid he wouldn’t make it through the entire cruise.
Plum Happy Posted July 1, 2023 #57 Share Posted July 1, 2023 (edited) Bring your own favorite snacks, i.e., chips and candy and save money. Oh yeah, even the ports know you want them, everyone heads to those stores to get them, St Martin, Barbados, etc. Edited July 1, 2023 by Plum Happy
Reina del Mar Posted July 2, 2023 #58 Share Posted July 2, 2023 Disappointing, but not the end of the world. More ‘stuff’ to lug aboard …will I need an extra rollaboard for cans of Diet Coke, Water, Wine, now crisps, chocolate and sweets??? No, think we can manage without !
