About the only possibility for free internet is if you are Elite or above -

Elite receive  90 minutes free Premium Internet per member

Elite+     240 minutes

You can also buy a 24 hour continuous use or 1  hour continuous use  but are very expensive.   UN-discounted 34.00 for 1 hour  or 67.00 for 1 day.   The time starts when you logon and are not incremental like the free minutes.

In the internet cafe the do have "Free" internet but only to browse Celebrity Site they also offered it on some cruises when we had to apply for a Canadian and Portugal Arrival Registration (only the specific site)

They do have 24 hour passes, but I don’t recall them being cheap

For airline check in, unless it’s southwest or another airline that won’t let you pick a seat until check in, you do not need to check in advance.  If you’re checking bags and going to the ticketing counter you don’t need to checkin in advance at all as the agent will check you in while checking your bags.  If you’re not checking luggage you check in on the way to the airport

Another option is check with your cell provider.  Most have international plans where you can use your phone in port for free to $10 a day.   Wont help you on sea days.

Absolutely true but most ports have free terminal Wi-Fi and if not, there’s usually a bar or cafe you can buy a bottle of water for a few bucks and use their high speed Wi-Fi

Some carriers like ATT also have Celluar at Sea starting at $50 per day -  which may be cheaper than paying a one day rate.

I have T-Mobile and they have free international roaming in almost all countries with certain plans.

AT&T actually has plans for $50 or $100 for 30 days.
