I have a lot of sympathy for intolerances, it must be horrible. Thankfully none affect me.

I did go gluten-free for 5 months a few years back, I lost a few pounds but I was miseable.

I have Ulcerative Colitis and have to eat gluten free foods.I tried not doing that on a cruise several years ago and got very sick on the ship

The next cruise I tried again not eating GF and again became very sick

Sounds horrible, you have my sympathies, I have an in-law who is coeliac and one grain of wheat sends her over the edge.

Years ago I ago I made her a lasagne with sliced and blanched turnips instead of pasta and a heavy cream and butter sauce instead of bechamel, it went down a treat.
