Pre-Cruise Hotel

We are staying in Rome for 2 days prior to our cruise.  I am looking for recommendations for hotels.  Also, what is the best way to get to the cruise port in Cevitavechia?

You can either go by taxi/limo or train.  We usually fly in the day before and stay in Civitavecchia though last time we stayed at the airport Hilton.
