Anjos Posted February 24, 2023 #1 Share Posted February 24, 2023 What time does QM2 leave NY? What is the latest re-boarding time - we will be sailing from Southampton to NY and returning but would plan to spend some time ashore.
BigMac1953 Posted February 24, 2023 #2 Share Posted February 24, 2023 All aboard is normally 4:30pm and lines are let go within the next hour and a half at the captain's discretion.

We have done roundtrip TA from Southampton a few times and due to go again on May. Cunard do a small selection of excursions for those doing roundtrip and they also do a return transfer into Manhattan and drop you off at Macy's but is not cheap. My advice is what we do and will be doing is to at h the NYC Ferry which departs virtually next to the ship and goes to Wall St for 4$ pp each way. Regular service and excellent value for money. Take a look at their website for further details. Edited February 24, 2023 by majortom10
bluemarble Posted February 24, 2023 #4 Share Posted February 24, 2023 I was a bit surprised to see the all-aboard time at New York was listed as 4:00pm for our scheduled 5:00pm QM2 departure on November 20, 2022 (for a Caribbean cruise). That was the time listed both on our boarding passes as newly embarking guests and the time listed in the daily programme for those guests continuing on from the preceding westbound crossing. Just thought I'd mention it in case this is now the usual all-aboard time in New York, to assist with planning independent time ashore there that doesn't cut it too close. TheOldBear Posted February 24, 2023 #5 Share Posted February 24, 2023 Sometimes schedules are adjusted - this past fall QM2 waited several hours for a delayed English National Symphony Orchestra to arrive. [another caution about possible problems flying in to meet a ship on departure day] In transit passengers were required to be on board at the originally scheduled time.
