Well,  I'm home.  This was a wonderful cruise.  I was in a suite for the first time in 4 years and forgot how wonderful it is.  Breakfast at Sabatinis was the best.  Next day laundry.  The room service speed was remarkable.  We enjoyed all the ports, our day in the Sanctuary,  the service all over the ship was so good.  The casino was boring and in 18 days,  I only saw one hand pay (not that I was there all 18 days). The 6 day land tour to Machu Picchu before boarding in Chile was worth every penny.  5 star hotels,  great travel companions,  memories to never be forgotten. We did the Venice and Santa Monica debark excursion since we had a late flight.  Beautiful day to go to the beach. Flight out of LA delayed.  Connection in Phoenix delayed.  Stumbled into our house about 1:15 am. A trip of a lifetime.

I forget - did you do the land tour through PCL or did you do it independently or with another provider?

The dreaded universal question: "What do you want for dinner??"

I don't know. What do you want for dinner. What ever you want is fine with me.😆

The disembarkation was a breeze!  We had a meet time of 7:50 in the Wheelhouse.  They called our Pink 2 tags at 7:45 and by 8:00 we were curbside.

We are almost home!

Thank you all for following along! Until the next time (July 6th, Emerald Princess, 16 day Hawaii).

Interesting you say disembarkation was a breeze.  You must have been among the very first to get off because actually it was quite a disaster.  There were 4 customs agents for 1700 passengers.  We got off the ship at 8 and it took us 45 minutes to get through.  We had a disembarkation excursion and it had to be shortened by an hour due to the wait for other people well behind us in the line.

And we were the lucky ones, because by the time we got to the head we could see behind us that the lineup was all the way to the back of the luggage hall.  I can't imagine how long it took those poor folks to get through.

Wow!  We were off at 7:45, so just before you.  I'm so sorry it was so bad for you guys.  There was no line at the ICE counters when we went through.

Today we had a FANTASTIC time on a 6 hr walking tour with Sebastián from viptoursba.com  If you come to Buenos Aires you must see the city through Sebastián's eyes!

Thank you @vickie_bernie for the great recommendation!  Sebastián has arranged a dinner tango show for tomorrow night and we are also spending Saturday with him.

Loving your blog!  QUESTION??  I love that gray crossbody bag.  What brand is it and where did you get it? Looks perfect for travel.

Debbie thanks you,  She bought it at a mall store in Toulon (France) this past November for 15 euros.  She said she has seen similar bags in many "bag" stores.

Hey everyone that is still looking at this thread. We are thinking of this cruise for 2025 (had to cancel 2024 unfortunately), as a general rule, what was the weather like in most ports? Was it too hot around santiago and B.A?

cheers

We found the weather to be very warm through-out the cruise.  The only places where we needed a windbreaker was in the Falklands and in Ushuaia.  I wore shorts for 95% of the trip.  BA was in the low 90's and Santiago was low 80's.
