Reschedule Izumi because son wasn’t feeling well, nope. Cancel & refund said unused Izumi reservation, maybe, we will forward your request to the dining manager but we can’t do that. Best perk, besides the humongous room was escorted disembark. CK to our car 15 minutes. Oh wow....that is awful. Sorry you had that experience. Probably another reason I have recently booked another 5 new cruises....none of them being our usual RCI. 🤫
poocher Posted March 16, 2023 #27 Share Posted March 16, 2023 (edited) Maybe my expectations were too high 🤷♀️. Frankly after day 2, I went to GS if I had a question/issue, very accommodating. Edited March 16, 2023 by poocher
Sun Lover Posted March 18, 2023 #28 Share Posted March 18, 2023 What is the main difference between the main dining room and Coastal Kitchen? We will be on Anthem in a few weeks and have a JS booked for the first time. We are thinking of trying to book dinner in Coastal Kitchen at least one night just to see what it's like. I assume it's much smaller than the main dining room but is the food or service upgraded?

Look at the CK menu on the app and you will see what they offer. We enjoy the filet on night 1 and the veal chop on night 7. The old everyday menu is still offered in CK. It's a smaller venue with better service. Hope you enjoy it!

Much smaller dining room, slightly better menu in terms of better quality and preparation, and as service is more individual, service is generally much faster, and can be slightly more customised if desired. Nothing groundbreaking, but a step up.

cublet Posted March 20, 2023 #33 Share Posted March 20, 2023 Hello, Last autumn CK on Anthem was either terribly under-staffed or overbooked. We had the Maitre d' serving, a Royal Genie serving his guests and two girls from Johnny Rockets (still in their Johnny Rockets aprons) serving - all on one night. I think it is much better at breakfast and lunch. Regards, Cublet

Some maitre d’s seem to happily let JS guests book multiple nights in one go, others let them book one night at a time, others won’t let them book at all (maybe it’s genuinely full, maybe not, who knows?). Pot luck really. Just head up there as soon as you can and see what happens. On a B2B2B JS, first week no. Maître'd changed and ate there next two cruises. poocher Posted March 21, 2023 #35 Share Posted March 21, 2023 It was a meh for us on Harmony. Out of a total of 12 entrees tried by our group at various dinners, only 5 were considered good. Our waiter was snooty. We’re on Harmony again in May and I think CK will be a pass. We might try on short ribs night.
