Changing passenger on reservation

If we were to change a passenger name on a reservation is there a fee?

A change fee would be fine but will they try to charge them the prevailing rate? (MUCH higher than we paid)

This is on a Med cruise with the air promo added.

No fee

you have up until about 3 days before cruise to change the name.  
we recently went thru this.  We didn’t wait until last minute to do the change once we knew the original person wasn’t going.

Back in 2017 we substituted my sister-in-law for our son-in-law about 2 weeks before the cruise.  Son-in-law got a new job and couldn't go.  Daughter was still in the cabin.  There was on charge.  My understanding at the time was that it could be done as long as one of the original people was still in the cabin.

We switched passengers in the cabins and we were charged the difference of what we paid v what the current rate was.  They also said any more switches may be difficult because of the airfare.

When we changed passengers last year right before final payment, our PCC re-priced the cruise for us because prices went down. Somewhere along the way, we got an extra point for each nights Latitudes-wise, too.

 

It can be done pretty simply, but I'm sure throwing the airfare into the mix may cause some hiccups.

it is my understanding that as long as it's before final payment is due, you can make the change with no charge

A full on name change (substitution) after final payment date is counted as a cancellation. See the second to last bullet point, below.

 

Recently, last Thursday, we changed just the last name of my husband and had to pay $150 fee. The fee may be due to having NCL BOGO Air. We're cruising Saturday.
