dock Posted March 16, 2023 #1 Share Posted March 16, 2023 Has anyone done this tour, through Celebrity? I’m not inclined to figure out taxis to and from the ferry etc so thought I’d book the tour which is really just the transfers. Also what should we do once are arrive in Cruz Bay? Tours is 4.5 hrs of which I’m assuming a fair bit of time is the back and forth to St J. Or should we just go to a beach in STT( been here 5 times before) Thank you. Ms411 Posted March 16, 2023 #2 Share Posted March 16, 2023 Since you've been to St Thomas numerous times, you should venture out to St John. Most people go to Trunk Bay Beach which is gorgeous and you can take a taxi there from Cruz Bay and maybe spend 2 hours there before you start heading back for the return trip. Taxis will be waiting at St John. Not much to see in Cruz Bay except the National Park Visitors Center, shops, and restaurants. 1

We think this is better than the cruise line excursion because we can get there earlier and enjoy the beach before the large group on excursions arrive.. it is costing more than the last time we went to St John. Just taxis are $100. Edited April 18, 2023 by jkloni

Just taxis are $100. If you want an adventure, like to hike and want to avoid the mob scene at Trunk plus the taxi fees, hike over to Honeymoon beach at Caneel bay. About 1.2 miles each way. Takes 25-30 minutes. We did this 2x. Once off of the cruise ship excursion St. John on your own when you had more time (2016) and once via ferry at red hook. I've been to Trunk 1x and 1x was enough for me. Edited April 20, 2023 by jean87510

I’ll be on Wonder of the Seas on the July 2 sailing. In the past I’ve sailed Celebrity.

Ms411 Posted May 13, 2023 #17 Share Posted May 13, 2023 Thanks, that's good to know, but it makes it so confusing when they change. Businesses aren't always notified of changes, either so it creates confusion for them, too. Sigh.

Ms411 Posted May 14, 2023 #19 Share Posted May 14, 2023 Broberts, I was wondering the same thing. The schedule from May-July shows Wonder at Crown Bay, but the schedule is always subject to change.
