We have a decision to make whether to book the Queen Mary2 or the Queen Victoria

going through the Bay of Biscay, we love the Queen Victoria but haven’t travelled on the Queen Mary 2

any advice would be appreciated.

We normally book lower decks but only high decks are available.

The BoB can be lumpy or a mill pond, at all times of the year.

To be guaranteed a smooth ride, QM2 is the way to go. On the other hand, some folks like to be reminded they're on a ship.

Both ships have their own attributes and we like both.

You don't mention the itineraries, which from my point of view would be the deciding factor.

Thanks for the replies , both itineraries are the same , but we’ve also realised the dates we looked at are school holidays so we always avoid those cruises.

So it’s back to the Brochures .

We are so happy to have Cruise Critic to ask questions.

I wouldn’t worry about it being the school holidays. Any children aboard will be well-behaved and fairly invisible.

Which cruises are you looking at?

If you're considering the Canaries, I'd go for April for better weather, although the February trip on QM2 has an overnight in Funchal which would be tempting.

I wouldn't worry too much about school holidays for this time of year.
