Not sure they are out of the woods as they still have a huge debt on their books but do enough cruising and will get back the money you paid for the stock. Only negative is they keep raising  auto tips and other things that we do so obc does not go as far as it used to.

Plus eliminating the OBC for couples with Military and Stockholders shares.

It's the only reason we kept it all these years but it looks like there's no more reason lately.

Wow such misconception. 1st in a couple if 1 has shares and the other served then each gets up to 250 OBC. 2nd not everyone has served. Especially after the draft was eliminated.

Ombud - Do you know this for sure?  I served in the military and I own stock in my name.  If you are correct I would go through the work to transfer the stock into my wife's name, but just wanted to be sure before I go through the hassle.  Thanks!

They have gotten rid of perks for elites. Miss the coffee card

I searched that out on the Princess website last week. If that helps

I don't think so.

"For guests eligible for both the Shareholder and Military OBCs, each guest must now choose which OBC they would like to book; these two OBC will not be combinable with each other. This will not affect your onboard credit on your current booking with us, only future bookings."

As of right now we're getting both Military and Stockholders OBC so I'm not doing anything....

BUT if when I book our next cruise they eliminate the stockholders OBC, the stock will go.

The way the news article reads, it sure doesn't appear that way.

Without the OBC, I've got a better place to keep my money.

Perfect!! Spouse #1 has military OBC & spouse #2 has shareholders OBC

$18.48

 Price Change+$1.32  Market Value

That’s encouraging & would think the new CCL CEO Josh Weinstein with his financial background is helping with their recovery from the pandemic. That’s nearly 2/3 of what we paid over a decade ago but is off the $70+ high 5 years ago…what a rollercoaster ride. 🎢  ☺️

@MissP22 and @Micahs Grandad I can spend my time lamenting how things used to be or I can be uber glad that I bought CUK at 6.50 it's currently at 16.9 plus I've already recouped 1500 OBC with 500 OBC already posted for the next 2 cruises. I prefer to see it as WHOO HOO I'm ahead and it's no longer on the sell list

Military credit is doubled through July 21, 2023.  But the same person cannot get both shareholder and military OBC.  I think that simply making military OBC non-refundable would be better than restricting it to those without shareholder benefits.

"We’re deeply grateful to those who serve our country. That’s why we’d like to make your next vacation extra special. Due to your verified military status, you can receive up to $500 to spend on board*. Even better, your military benefit is combinable with most other promotional offers, including additional onboard spending money. Plan an adventure you’ll love, and save big with these deals.

*Up to $500 onboard spending money is valid for eligible military personnel in the U.S. and Canada and is only applicable to the first guest in a stateroom. If a second eligible military personnel will be occupying the same stateroom, please contact 1.800.PRINCESS to receive onboard spending offer for second eligible guest. Maximum of two onboard credit offers per stateroom. This offer cannot be used for casino credits/charges and crew incentive, discretionary hotel and dining charges. Onboard spending money is applied to the folio of the veteran or active-duty personnel’s stateroom. Offer excludes Travel Agent and Interline fares. Offer may be combinable with other promotions included other onboard spending money offers. Offer not combinable with shareholder benefits. Other restrictions may apply. Eligibility includes active military, retired military and disabled military veterans with proper verification as outlined on Princess.com/military_benefit_program/. Onboard spending money amount varies based on voyage duration:"

As far as the current success at filling ships, I'm curious how many people are still sailing at no cost to themselves on FCC's from cancelled sailings.  We still have "Goodwill", "Cruise with Confidence" and "Princess Travelcare" credits left on the books.

We are finally using up all of ours (from the Coral in S. America) on our upcoming Regal cruise in September.  We paid a little over and above for the Princess Platinum Insurance and EZair flights but paid that with Princess Gift Cards that we got at a discounted price through AARP.  We have done 3 cruises prior to this with the FCC's

I'd venture to say not many as most of those issued in 2020 expired last December and new ones are only valid for 12 months

We are just now using the rest of ours....see above.

We were also on that cruise and still using up FCC's.  We were booked B2B all the way through the Panama Canal to San Pedro. We had a very interesting flight from Buenos Aires back to San Francisco. Kudos to EZ Air.  They booked the flights for us.

Am interested in getting Princess gift cards through AARP. Is this still a thing?

Not necessarily apples to apples - but when I applied for the Shareholder OBC for our Feb 2024 cruise I already had the military OBC automatically.  Our brokerage account is in both names - and when they approved the credit they put it in my wife's name.  Hopefully that will work in the future and I will send the request in under her name just to be safe - this time they just did it that way - maybe they knew something! 🙂

As you know, we’re in the same situation & sail after you in April…hopefully you’ll have no issues receiving both in your name onboard. 🤞

We’ve applied in her name but SOBC has been issued to me because my name was first on the reservation. Since learning about these changes, we had our TA switch us on a just booked cruise which was issued to her. I’m waiting to learn about onboard experiences after 9/12 to see if I need to email the SOBC section to put it in her name or if we’ll need to reapply after listing her name first.
