We are going on Princess cruise as a family and booked 4 rooms. We have one existing princess guest and one child with each room. Does it matter if we decide to swap rooms once we are abraod the ship?
Sometimes the kids like to be with one family member on different days.

we also do this often & with the Medallion it is so much easier as they can be set to open multiple doors (rather than needing multiple room cards in the past), just take one person assigned to each room & ask for it to be done...it is good to let your cabin steward know so that in case of an emergency they are aware

I believe the only stipulation is that you cannot have a child in a cabin without someone over the age of 18 with them.

Not quite right.  When we took our 2 granddaughters on an AK cruise we booked Grandpa and one  granddaughter in cabin A and Grandma and 2nd grandaughter in cabin B.  When we got on board we switched so both granddaughters were in one cabin and both grandparents were in the other cabin.  Nobody had any objections and the grandkids had a great time sharing their own cabin.

We did the same a few years ago on an Alaskan cruise with the boys.  The were 16 and 13.   Just let the cabin steward know and you will be OK   Guest services switched our cruise cards( old school )  around when we got on. board.    BTW  The cabin steward knew more about where they were off to on the am than we did.
