I love all the options at the martini bar. And it usually feels like a very fun atmosphere. Did you say you were going to be onboard the Solstice? Maybe we’ll see you there!

We board on the 22nd and will be on for 11 days! Since we live in So. Cal. I call these cruises road trips on a ship!

On our approach to Cabo San Lucas. Scheduled to arrive in about two and a half hours.

Looks like the Discovery Princess is not far behind.

Okay. The princess ships looks way farther away in the picture! 😂

Oh that’s right! You’re staying on for the 4-day to Vancouver!  Wish I had realized that leg was sailing directly after ours back when I booked this B2B. They want too much to change our airfare now. 😩

Well that sucks! Can’t wait to hear about the Veuve Clicquot dinner.

We got our Captain’s Club flowers delivered last night (at turn down service on the first Chic Night).

Very pretty with a red rose and alstroemeria.

And if you put it front of the mirror it looks twice a large. 😁

Had a nice sail in to Cabo. It’s about 74 degrees with a slight breeze and feels about perfect!

Having a port side balcony is great for the Mexican Riviera itinerary.

The Fresca martini was quite nice. Light, but very flavorful. It would be easy to drink a few of these without realizing how they sneak up on you!

That is the whole point behind them.  They are especially refreshing after a day ashore walking around in the hot sun.  I wish the martini bar opened earlier.  I'd could see coming back from being ashore, having a quick lunch, two or three of those and then a nice nap before pre-dinner drinks.

Please tell us if you see any whales. They've been very visable the last couple of months. People seeing them from the beach and from the ship. I have a friend sailing this week who hopes to see whales!

There is often good whale watching from an aft bar during sailaway from Cabo.  It's getting a bit late in the year, though.

So far no whales. We saw two green sea turtles this morning coming into Cabo and a few harbor seals at the Cabo marina. We were talking to our waitress at lunch and she said that whale season is on its way out for the winter/spring season (although they have certain spots they go to where they know where to find them).

I have been very lax in my photo taking skills this morning. I’m so sorry! 😩😂

We will definitely look for them!

Had lunch in Cabo. Would you believe I left my phone in the cabin?!?

Of course.

So I stole a couple of photos from Google maps to give you an idea (thank you Hector Alvarez).

After the tender docked at the marina, we turned to the right and started walking. The idea was to walk until we started getting hungry/ getting tired.

La Casa Country is an unassuming little restaurant right on the walkway around the marina. It was located right at the point where we started thinking about finding some food.

I don’t think I have ever had bad guacamole in Mexico, but their table side guac is delicious and made to order.

I also had two “Cadillac Margaritas” and Mark had two beers. After the table side guacamole, (4) drinks, chicken quesadillas, steak & chicken fajitas and chips and salsa, our bill with tip came out to about $90 USD. Of course, nearly $40 of that was drinks.

I regret nothing.

Now we are just relaxing on the balcony trying to decide between a nap and trivia in the Sky Lounge.

So far, the idea of the nap is winning.

Dinner tonight in Tuscan Grille. (Probably shouldn’t have eaten all the chips and guac at lunch 😳)

Thought I’d include a copy of the dining room menu for tonight from the app.

Is there even a question here -- Wedge salad and Sirloin.  Can't go wrong !

Definitely love the wedge, but I tend to go for a ribeye over a sirloin.

Decisions! Decisions!

Sounds like we have very similar taste! So far I’ve had the Decoy Cab both nights in the MDR, but that’s because they were out of the Primitivo on night 2 😆

You may think me crazy but I also enjoy the Columbia Crest Merlot that is available on the Classic package.

There are a couple i tend to order in Tuscan that are above what is covered by the DBP but what good is non-refundable OBC if you don't spend it.

Dinner tonight in Tuscan Grille was quite good. I wish it had been a little later. We had such a big lunch in Cabo that dinner would have been better around 7:30 or 8:00. But our reservation was for 6 pm and we made it work.

I told the sommelier that I was disappointed that they were out of the Primitivo. She said she knew they had several bottles. So she opened one for me for tonight’s dinner and told me that she would send a bottle to the main dining room with my name on it. Talk about great service!!
