That is strange.

The only time I have come close to that is when I was on a solo cruise, I found flowers in my room. I thought who could have sent them until it dawned on me they were still in good condition from the previous occupant.

 I actually thought it was nice that the steward didn’t want to waste perfectly good flowers.

Is this for a future cruise as interested to know how you could reserve this. We are sailing on Millie early next year and it doesn't appear as an option. Did it appear on dining options close to your cruise?

Look through the menu each night for Sushi on 5 in the app. If it lists all indian dishes, then it's the Taj dinner. Showed on night 7 for me. I will confirm once on ship.

Tonight was the 2nd Evening Chic night of this cruise, two down, one to go. 

 

We went to the Theater production show and enjoyed it.  Not amazing but not awful.  We would not skip it had we not seen it before but now having seen it, would not go to a repeat performance. 

 

 

I can't wait for pics from the Taj dinner!

Aumse Bouche was a kimchi topped with duck confit

 

We started with the sea bass carpaccio-  wonderful and citrusy.. paired with the Celebrity Elegance Chardonnay 

 

 

 

For main course we both had the lobster

 

 

and I also ordered the filet, medium rare and paired that with the Celebrity Elegance Cabernet Sauvignon 

 

 

 

For desert my DW had the Lemon Mascarpone Cream 

 

and I had the Milk Chocolate and Bailey’s

 

 

I am stuffed but am headed down to see what mu friend Luis in the Retreat Lounge has in store for me tonight.

 

It’s going to be an early night so maybe one, two at the most night caps.

I wish I had known about this beforehand, it wasn’t advertised anywhere to the point where I’ve seen it. You’d think with all the junk you get sent everyday the important parts would be included (Taj Dinner, Veuve Cliqout Dinner) but nope.

 

I already have a dinner appointment at Tuscan tonight that would be rude to cancel last minute. Maybe I will be able to indulge on Solstice or Apex in the coming months.

I wouldn’t have noticed that there was Chic night yesterday (at least in Blu). My app cruise planner also didn’t mention it once again and they also had an incorrect dessert menu loaded, however the actual one was much better.

 

The Lobster Ravioli and Filet Mignon yesterday were absolutely superb!

 

Just approaching the coastline of Costa Rica as I type this. With the time changes I get up too early these days.

We had heard about the Taj X dinner but had not even looked into it.  Last night at dinner our waitress and Maitre’D asked us if we would be interested and DW said yes, so we asked them for a 7:30 pm reservation and they said done.

For those that are interested - ordering a second lobster in Luminae was not a problem at all.  There were a couple of folks who did it and our waitress offered both my wife and I a second one but we declined, I was not even able to finish all my filet. 

 

As @Fly and Sail said, we are approaching Costa Rica with an anticipated 0800 arrival time.  We have our one and only, so far, shore excursion planned so there will be off ship pictures for only the second time since the cruise started.  

 

 

This is a 7 hour and 45 minute tour so do not expect to hear from me until tonight.

I tend to order the same surf and turf (lobster and additional filet) instead of 2 lobsters.  Good choice.

Wife and I also on this tour.  My son works at the Starbucks HQ and is waiting for photos as the HQ folks know this farm.  My hope is to load up on take away beans 🙂

Our son gave us a shopping list.  Something tells me there will be about 6-8 pounds added to my backpack as our luggage was already full!

i do not think we’ll be buying that much. We bought an 8-oz bag In Cartagena.  Plan to get 4 to 5 pounds here.  Taking back coffee instead of alcohol.  Coffee lighter by far.  🙂

Can someone explain to me why a MID CRUISE Internet “Special” is still $342 with 7 days to go? 
 

It was $525 for the entire cruise, not $684.
