Specialty Restaurant Reservations

Recommended Posts

Will be taking our first Regent cruise April 1, 2024. We are booked in a Concierge Suite, I see that the three specialty restaurants on the Explorer require a reservation. When restaurant reservations open, will I be able to make two separate reservations for each of the three specialty restaurants? Thank you in advance for your feedback.

If you are on the 12-night Tokyo-to-Tokyo cruise, you will be able to book one reservation at each of the three specialty restaurants. If you are on the 30-night Tokyo to Vancouver cruise (which is a combo of two cruises), then you will be able to book two reservations for each specialty restaurant (essentially one reservation for each of the two segments).

I am writing from personal experience as we just made our reservations for a “combo” cruise of 19-nights, Barcelona to London in late June. Although it is actually two cruise segments, Regent offers it as a single cruise with a single booking number.

Enjoy your cruise!

Just got off Explorer, 14 night Tokyo rt. Made our first three specialty restaurant reservations online for early in the cruise. We were able to get a second reservation for Prime 7 and Chartreuse. Tried too late for Pacific Rim, but we were ok with that. Key was being willing to share.

Tagging on here about specialty restaurant reservations…if your suite description lists “Guaranteed Reservation Each Night in Specialty Restaurant of Your Choice” do you need to make all those reservations in advance?  Or can you do them onboard at the start of the cruise, or on a daily basis once you decide where you want to eat?

You can just inform your butler, on a daily basis, each morning usually where you are going to dine. Equally, if you have specific plans fir certain nights, you can get several sorted at a time. It’s worth making the 2 or 3 (depending on which ship) x “1 per restaurant” in advance in any event.

We were in a GS on a Splendor TA the end of March and one can only make reservations in each of the specialty restaurants once before the sailing. Every morning we asked our Butler to reserve a dedicated restaurant for that evening, and never a problem. On our 12 day cruise we ate at Prime 7 5 times.
