xahuayxol beach club - anyone hear of this one?

Although we loved Hayhu, based on recent pictures of the sargassum, I can't see paying that much money especially when we are there for the snorkeling about 75% of the time.  We will go back again but not in July as planned.  I get a mild skin reaction to sargassum and don't feel like sweating all day in a chair unable to go swimming.

So, I found a place called Xahuayxol beach club experience run by Coralgo which is a company we are renting bikes from on a different future cruise.  Very few reviews.  Has anyone been here?  It's half the price of Hayhu.

Wow, that's a bit of a trek.  But  that's a rather underdeveloped area along the south coast.  So if there are facilities and things you like to see, for your pioneering/adventure jones, looks like a great spot to explore,  Snorkel boats from Mahahual do go around there but a bit off shore.  Love to hear your thoughts when you get back.  You may find sargassum there as well, unfortunately.

They do provide transportation so at least I have that covered.  I'll share when we return.  Company said it's a 20 minute drive but every place says that in the Caribbean.  It's a new spot for us so we shall see.

I'd add at least 10 minutes to the time it took you to get to HayHu.  It's about 6-7 miles further south.  years ago heading down that road to Xcalak there wasn't much traffic but plces in the road weren' exactly smooth riding.

Did you end up going to this place @jean87510 curious to hear what you thought. Have been to Maya Chan numerous times but can't seem to find a spot I want to return to

We ended up changing reservation to January 2024 and took a ship excursion to Kokunlich and Dzi.  It was a long hot day of traveling but at least I made it.
