Our cruise in five weeks time still says Excursions coming soon. I wonder how many bookings they are losing because of this!

Ours in just over 2 weeks does too, but when I click on Manage Your Reservation, scroll down & click on the paper/pencil icon next to Excursions, they’re all there

Yes I can do that too. My point (that I didn’t make too well 😀) is that’s fine if you know to do that or are someone who is comfortable playing around with IT but many are not and they are losing out. It reflects badly on a destination line

Their IT is still in trouble (or is it their agent competence). Yesterday I jumped through hoops to use OBC for excursions for my cruise in two weeks time. I’ve logged in today and I find my OBC balance for both that cruise and my cruise in five weeks time has been reduced (they are on separate ships so no logic in what’s happened)

So I’ve got to waste time again today listening to nauseating marketing bumph whilst they put me on hold to fix the issue. (Sorry pet hate, give me music not marketing I’m already booked etc)

Rant over

Yes, I agree, it’s very misleading. I also agree about marketing talk - although my pet hate is being told ‘your call is important to us’ - clearly not or you’d make sure it was answered!

Sorry your OBC got muddled - hope you get it sorted.

I was wondering if anyone can explain what is meant in this disclaimer below, it is on all excursions in Amalfi & Sorrento during our cruise in August.  It sounds to me like there is a possibility that you may not be able to go ashore without having an excursion booked?  We were planning on exploring on our own, without booking an excursion.

That sounds like what happened to us in Italian ports in September 2021 – very strict controls even after the rest of Europe had already relaxed the Covid rules.  I wonder if this is old language that Azamara forgot to remove, or if there is some new localized outbreak in that area?

I think Jazzbeau is right.  We were on an Azamara cruise last April and were free to get off the ship at both of those ports on our own with no restrictions.  I just checked a couple of shore excursions at the two ports for our similar itinerary for this coming May and, again, no restrictions.

It does sound like it has been erroneously carried over from the early post-Covid restriction days.
