NCL Booking Problems

I have travelled extensively on NCL over the last 10 years and have come across a problem with booking excursions for the first time. My wife and I have no problem but my 3 daughters who are on a different reservation keep getting the following message “We've encountered an error. Please log out and try again later.”

I have contacted NCL by phone in both Australia and Miami, as well as sent e-mails. Reservations keep saying they get an error code when trying to book for me and have passed the details on to their Tech Department. Their latest email says “We apologise for the delay in enabling your booking of shore excursions in the system.  Please be assured your case has been brought up to out technical team who are in the process of reviewing and fixing the issue.
You will be contacted as soon as we have resolution on this for you.

To date this has gone on for 3 weeks and still no solution has been forthcoming. I was wondering if anyone else had come across this or had a contact suggestion for someone to offer a solution to this problem. Cruise sails in Nov 2023 but I am concerned the more popular excursions will sell out. Any help would be appreciated

@buttmwcm

Thank you for your new topic on the Cruise Blogs & Websites forum! However, it is off-topic there since the forum is for our members to post links to their personal travelogue-type of cruise-related blogs or websites.

To help you out, your new thread has been moved to the Norwegian Cruise Line forum where it will be on topic. The majority of your fellow Cruise Critic members that have sailed NCL frequent this forum and provide feedback here. Browse through the thread titles on this forum looking for threads of interest. You will probably find your fellow Cruise Critic members have already posted questions and received answers that may be of interest to you.

The Cruise Critic website and message boards are a great resource for new as well as experienced cruisers and we are so glad you found us again! Please feel free to browse the Cruise Critic Community categories list for the various message board forums. Read a few threads in the different forums to get a feel for what each forum is about. Make sure you read any pinned threads (aka Stickies) on the top of the first page of threads in most forums. You will find very important instructions or information there.

I also want to let you know about the Cruise Critic Roll Call thread for your specific line, ship and departure date. It is where you would post along with other Cruise Critic members sailing with you. It will be the ONLY place on the Cruise Critic message boards where you and your fellow Roll Call thread members are allowed to post personal ads about sharing private tours, excursions or transportation with each other to save money. There is a "captive audience" there since you are all sailing together! Your fellow Roll Call thread members may post important information in your Roll Call thread. Especially those that have sailed your line, ship or itinerary before. Someone there may be having the same problem as you with the NCL system.

Be sure to find & post on the Roll Call thread for your cruise departure date if it has been created. If not, create it yourself! For information about our Roll Calls, please read What is a Roll Call? Everything you Need to Know and How To: Create A New Roll Call. For more information about our famous Roll Calls, please read the Roll Calls and Our Policy Regarding Facebook and Roll Calls sections in the Guidelines we all agreed to follow when registering for our free Cruise Critic memberships. We also have the following Cruise Critic article you might enjoy8 Reasons to Join a Cruise Critic Roll Call

I sincerely hope this will be helpful to someone new to posting on our message boards. We are glad to have you aboard Cruise Critic!

Happy sails,

Host Kat

I’ve had that error returned when there is no availability on the excursion.  In addition to the message the other thing I noticed is that one of us has a cost of $0. It is usually 2nd passenger that gets the $0 cost.

I agree with above. We had this issue too when trying to book my children's excursion who had a separate room and reservation.  Try calling the ShoreX desk and ask for help booking 866-625-1167

Thank you for all the suggestions. Call from Australia to Miami seemed to resolve it tonight. Disappointing that the 3 weeks it took to resolve meant one of the tours was no longer available and call was to same department as 9 days ago.
