It lowers the odds of winning to the point that it’s just a sideshow, carnival game. It’s a ripoff. Also cruise ship odds are terrible on the video poker machines.
Andrewgary Posted June 18, 2023 #28 Share Posted June 18, 2023 Don't get me started on the rake the casino takes at the poker game. 1

A couple of years ago we were on a back-2-back. One of the segments had a large contingent of casino invited guests. On that segment, the minimums went up. Your experience may vary but as different people have had different observations, that might be an explanation.
sundown6 Posted Wednesday at 03:04 PM #30 Share Posted Wednesday at 03:04 PM It really depends on the casino and the game you're looking to play. Typically, table minimums can range anywhere from $5 to $25. If you want to get a feel for it before going, you can try online casino games at home to see what works for you. Many online casinos offer free play options, so you can practice without spending any money.

steve_c Posted Wednesday at 03:34 PM #32 Share Posted Wednesday at 03:34 PM (edited) From my experience, table minimums can vary quite a bit depending on the casino and the time of day. You could also visit during off-peak hours, as minimums are often lower then. I play on online casino, and I think it's more convenient. I personally recommend the best online casino in Japan , they have a wide variety of games, so you will have plenty to choose from. TGfromTX Posted Wednesday at 08:01 PM #33 Share Posted Wednesday at 08:01 PM I do not know about Celebrity specifically, but on other ships the minimum moved around. If the casino was fairly empty (later at night), they lowered the minimum. Sort of like their pricing on everything else.

I recall that X once allowed 1x line bet odds unless the line bet was $25+. ON REGENT recently it was 2x odds.
