Is there any *good* news about Eclipse or S-class? Getting nervous reading these comments

I'm going to encourage some patience here. If his cruise left July 2 he returned July 9 which is just last Friday. Today is Wednesday. If he is still on vacation after the cruise or recently returned home there's a lot to do to re enter the real world what with laundry, mail, grocery shopping, licking your wounds etc.

Nope. On June 17th, the OP had time to start a thread on CC the night before their cruise! I leave for a b2b in two weeks and I guarantee that - despite careful planning, a good packing list and a test packing session - I’ll be running around like my hair is on fire the night before departure. I won’t have the time or inclination to post a free association exercise in pessimism on social media. They’ve been off the ship for at least a few days, perhaps weeks. Now it’s time for them to consider giving back to the community by telling us how they liked their cruise.

We are cruising on Equinox for the first time in September after several NCL trips. The last NCL cruise convinced us to try something new. Our ta suggested celebrity and got us a phenomenal deal on a veranda cabin-not aqua or concierge.
The good news is we have no experience with X so disappointment may be minimized. (Other than the casino vaping “experiment”. Yes, I did email & got a stock  response. We like the casino but not enough to spend more than an hour playing the “cheap” games so that shouldn’t bother us too much.)
For example, NCL never offered a welcome aboard sparkling beverage so I won’t be upset to not get one on Celebrity.
We’re just hoping the food is a bit better. We are not buffet people, and have only booked one specialty restaurant.
I promise to leave an honest first timer review once home.

I was on a guided ship tour of Eclipse back in 2016. That was the first time I took a foot on a cruise ship. At that time I thought it was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. Sad to hear recent reports…

We were on the Eclipse in September, January and April.  We have previously sailed on the Solstice and the Century.  When we boarded the Century in 2014 we thought she was the most beautiful ship we had ever seen and we knew she was old.  When we saw the Solstice in 2016 we were wowed.
We still thought the Eclipse was lovely this year and have been wondering what all the complaints were about.  Yes, there might be some chairs that are a bit uncomfortable in the general areas, but only some but on the whole it was a great ship and we would go one her again in a flash.

I'm not sure what made me think they'd left on July 2 so yeah, you're right.

Thanks for your suggestion, but check your math…

OP posted June 17th that he was boarding “tomorrow” which would be the 18th of June.

Cruise returned June 25th.

That’s two-plus weeks before my post.

Just off eclipse, first celebrity cruise and first time in Alaska.

Have primarily cruised royal mostly anthem of the seas.

The ship is beautiful and clean, furnishings showing wear but not to detract from the experience at all.

Thank you to all previous posters on this board for sharing their experiences!!

Is the Eclipse going in for renovations soon?  I don't see any itineraries listed between Aug. 27 and Sept 24.

Uh, I don’t think so.  We’re cruising Alaska August 27-September 3 on the Eclipse.  I believe the cruise is sold out, so that could be why you don’t see that itinerary.
