Watching muster video online - does that mean no more onboard ship drills?

But we still had to watch the Muster Video on our room TV when we boarded as that gave us access to our account info and other stuff. We turned on the Muster Drill Video and went about our business unloading our suitcases.
Maybe this will continue in this fashion until the Regulators decide it is no longer acceptable in these Post Covid times.

When we received the notice to watch the video initially while at home before the cruise we watched it and then received probably 3 more emails advising us that we needed to watch said video.  After watching again a couple more times we finally just ignored their e-mail pleas to watch it again.  Not really sure what that was about.

I'm guessing a lot of people don't even watch once, and most people need repetition to learn anyway (quick quiz...is the emergency number 911 or 999 or 0118 999 881 999 119 725 3 for your upcoming cruise?). The video on your cabin's TV is longer than the pre-cruise one so keep an ear/eye open for anything you don't already know.

Upon boarding we head to the muster station to check in. When our room is ready we watch the video. Done!

I really don't want to waste time on watching a video  ...except on a cruise that goes the way of Costa Concordia.  Anyone know of a way to be *sure* to have watched the video when it turns out to not have been a waste of time?

"Evolution in action"  😉

If people would follow just one rule, "do what the crew tells you to do when they tell you to do it", everything would go as well as possible. Alas...

Uhh...  H#LL NO.

Unless you *know* the crew is better than that of M/S Costa Concordia (who told passengers to go back to their cabins and the captain who "fell" into a lifeboat early on), or MTS Oceanos (who simply headed for the lifeboats), or even the crew on RMSTitanic (who also told passengers to go back to their cabins).

I am confident that the O crew are better trained and more professional than all of the above (and have watched their frequent training sessions), but you never know until it happens.

Actually, I'd rate the O passenger-facing crew right up there with their counterparts on RMSTitanic (and subject to the same sense of denial).

Watch the boring video like your life might depend upon it, take any announcement with a grain of salt, and keep your shoes where you can find them in the dark.

Meanwhile, what are they serving in the GDR this evening?  😉
