Tilbury docks

Have they moved from Dover to Tilbury docks now or are these just occasional .. I am wondering as we have Dover as our embarkation port at the end of August

Spirit of Discovery can be seen on Good Morning Britain today at Tilbury Docks today. They were doing an article on Windrush and SOD had just arrived at the docks. ITVx app can show the program on replay.

Got off SoD in Tilbury yesterday. It was smoother than getting off at Portsmouth back in January - at least we didn't have to get shuttle buses from the ship to the baggage hall.

I agree, Portsmouth is an awful port to use for a cruise ship, especially for anyone who has problems with getting to buses, and on and off, with hand luggage - which applies to a fair few of Saga's older passengers.

A new Cruise Terminal is due to open in Portsmouth this summer. It will do away with the "tents" currently used but you will still need a shuttle bus to the Ship.

For me Portsmouth is 230 miles Tilbury 350 miles and fighting round m25, so tents and buses are minor inconvenience.
