That will be huge and changes the deployment scenario significantly.

It’s hard to see it having a positive impact to European deployments. The need to dry dock here seemed to be the main thing in our favour.

Royal has the numbers from several seasons now.  If Med cruises can operate with similar revenue results compared to other regions then there is no reason to change.

Six Oasis class ship certaintly is a factor.  Add a couple Icon class and they risk oversaturating the US with too many berths if they base them all in Florida and Texas.  Texas mega ship itineraries are pretty boring.   No need to double the berth count on those routes.

On the other hand if Florida continues to be a cruise ship cash cow maybe there is enough demand for more berths.

Time will tell.

Sounds like a very reliable, quality operation!👍

I'm sure current RCCL management is anxious to trust them again🤑

Various marine engineers and naval architects, along with the class society signed off on the operation, or it wouldn't have been attempted.

We are planning our first sailing with RCL on Allure April 2025, 7 night Western Caribbean out of Barcelona.  I have seen comments that she is in major need of a refurbishment.  This is what I have found below, do they replace all carpet and update rooms or is it just basic dining and environmental stuff?  We have sailed 6 times on Carnival ships and are tired of smelly old ships!  We have the option to sail on the Odyssey of the Seas for Greece/Italy May 2025. Is that a better choice?

  • The planned additions included a new set of waterslides, as well as updated dining venues, new specialty dining options and new bars and lounges.
  • This revitalization underscores Royal Caribbean’s dedication to its fleet’s excellence and sustainability, promising an even more compelling and environmentally conscious cruising experience for its passengers

Welcome to CC.

Yes, if you want something newer.
