Cdn_Traveller Posted July 13, 2023 #1 Share Posted July 13, 2023 I am looking for a luxury cruise like Regent Seven Seas, Seabourn, etc. that has no single supplement. I am looking to travel in December 2023 and be home by Christmas. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanking you in advance.
Texas Tillie Posted July 13, 2023 #2 Share Posted July 13, 2023 Sometimes the various luxury cruise lines will offer selected cruises in their lower level cabins with no single supplement. Those are usually on cruises that are "less desirable" as to location, etc. I'd look at each line's website and see if they have a link for "Specials".

calliopecruiser Posted July 31, 2023 #4 Share Posted July 31, 2023 Needs this specific are probably best answered by a travel agent. Some luxury lines do have no-supplement specials, but probably not in December.
saminina Posted August 8, 2023 #5 Share Posted August 8, 2023 First three weeks of December in Caribbean is not a particularly desirable time. My suggestion is to forget about single supplements. Focus on per diem. Set what you are willing to spend begin the search.

They have a number of cruises where they do not charge single supplement.

3ric Posted March 22 #11 Share Posted March 22 Interesting, I liked the food on the ponant cruise and I was wondering what other luxury cruises look like. We did have a caviar tasting and a pata negra tasting, we also had lobster and foie gras. Are you thinking they day to day menu was not fancy enough to qualify for a luxury cruise? or the choices?

All the lobster (ick) and caviar (meh) won't make for luxury dining if they're not good quality, well prepared, and well served. Maybe it was on Ponant (I've never sailed with them), but "fancy" or expensive items alone don't make for luxurious food or dining.
Wendy The Wanderer Posted August 21 #13 Share Posted August 21 I just noticed that the Paul Gauguin has some great zero single supplement specials right now. Not sure how they're faring under Ponant ownership, but despite the small size, I will always consider this ship to be luxury (first sailed her in 2000.) I wonder if one could get ajoining cabins if traveling together. Ponant cabins are very well designed but on the small side
