WillandStacey Posted July 14, 2023 #1 Share Posted July 14, 2023 We have booked up a cruise out of Miami on Oasis of the Seas in Nov 2023. Taking our girls too, so 4 of us this time. Flying in Southwest the night before and was looking for a Miami based hotel that might offer an airport shuttle and a cruise port shuttle service? Having never been there was hoping someone with some experience can recommend (or not recommend) a decent stay and transport option. Thank you! CruiserBruce Posted July 14, 2023 #2 Share Posted July 14, 2023 If you read around the board, the shuttle comes up frequently. The hotels in the immediate airport area have a shuttle from the airport. One or two MIGHT shuttle you to the port. Many of the hotels downtown have shuttles to the port for a fee. No shuttles from the airport. There are MANY threads here on hotels.
CruzinKristin Posted July 18, 2023 #3 Share Posted July 18, 2023 I usually stay at Hilton Garden Inn, Miami Airport West. Shuttles to/from airport and cruise terminal.
Ashland Posted July 19, 2023 #4 Share Posted July 19, 2023 Try Hampton Inn Suites Blue Lagoon. They offer a shuttle from MIA to their hotel. Not sure about a shuttle to POM but a taxi/Uber would work out easy also.
Flymia Posted July 19, 2023 #5 Share Posted July 19, 2023 Any airport hotel will provide an airport shuttle. Shuttles to the cruise port of much less common. The closer you get to the Port the less need for a shuttle as well, as a hotel in Downtown Miami or Brickell is a quick 10-15 min drive to the port 1-2 miles or less. JohninDC Posted July 19, 2023 #6 Share Posted July 19, 2023 As mentioned above, only hotels near the airport will offer airport shuttles. Not aware of any hotel offering free POM shuttles - some offer paid shuttles, but with 4 of you a taxi or Uber/Lyft would likely be a cheaper option. Staying near the airport is a good option if your flight arrives late or you don't care about seeing much/any of downtown Miami. The Hampton Inn Blue Lagoon, suggested above is a good airport option with nearby dining and shopping options (strip mall across the street). There is also a Hampton Inn located in the Mary Brickell area of downtown that gets rave reviews on this board -lots of nearby dining and shopping options. Taxi from MIA to downtown hotels will run about $30 and a cab to the port the next day will be about $15-20. Van/SUV cabs cost more - so pack light! Welcome to the boards and have a great cruise! 😎
