The Spice Route from Singapore.

Have any of our fellow cruisers done the Spice Route out of Singapore ending in Mumbai? The reason I ask is do the menus in the various dining areas on the ship reflect food from Asia as well as western food ?

The dinner menus are the same no matter where the Celebrity ships are in the world.

 

They may put in some locally-sourced or locally-inspired food in the buffet at lunch, however.

When we sailed the evening dining room menu was the same as other sailing.  There was more some Indian and Asian options in the buffet both at lunch and dinner.

Hopefully you're spending some time in Singapore. There is a Little India with great Indian food. There are also restaurants that specialize in Peranakan foods. Peranakan is an ethnic designation of Singaporeans of Chinese, Malay, and Indonesian descent. The food has Chinese, Malay, and Indian influences (and European) and is delicious.

 

Once upon a time, Royal Caribbean (wasn't cruising Celebrity at the time) had menus that varied from ship to ship and a lot of the chefs were Indian. Some great Indian food in the MDR! Then they went to standard menus across the fleet, like Celebrity...

We have done a combination of the Singapore to Dubai and Dubai to Rome.   The menus are the same but in the OV they often have regionally inspired offerings.
