10:55am flight from Fort Lauderdale?

A 10:55 am flight should not be a problem.  We normally get to the airport by 9 AM taking a taxi.  The earlier you get to FLL the better, as once the cruiseline buses start arriving (usually after 9 am) the longer the checkin and security lines get.

I agree with @CruiserBruceand @DaveOKC.  We (family group of 8 including an almost 4 year old and an 8 1/2 year old) had an 11:20 am flight in July.  We requested the first disembarkation for early flights (not self disembarkation) and were collecting our luggage by 8:15 am.  We called 2 Ubers and were at the airport before 8:45.  The check-in process (at a kiosk) was quick as was TSA and we easily found seats at the gate. The concourse did fill get quite crowded by 10:00.

An important caveat is that there were only 2 (IIRC) ships disembarking passengers.  If it had been a high season (Chirstmas to Easter) weekend there might have been 6 or more.  That's lots more passengers competing for transportation, ticket kiosks, and TSA security checks.  In that case, we would have taken a taxi rather than waited about 7 minutes for Ubers.
