EASTENDRT Posted August 9, 2023 #1 Share Posted August 9, 2023 Is there any information on bringing back olive oil from Italy or Spain on a transatlantic cruise to Florida from Rome on Celebrity Cruise line?

You can bring it into the US on a plane, so I don't see why you couldn't bring it in on a cruise ship or if the cruise line matters. You might go over to the Celebrity forum and ask if the ship you'll be sailing on has a duty free shop and if they have olive oil from France or Spain. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/16-celebrity-cruises/
Rare LindaD22 Posted August 9, 2023 #3 Share Posted August 9, 2023 We did a Mediterranean cruise this past June and brought back olive oil and balsamic vinegar. It was not a TA cruise, we flew home to the US with these items in our checked bags, but no problem.
navybankerteacher Posted August 9, 2023 #4 Share Posted August 9, 2023 Because all sorts of Spanish and Italian olive oil are available in the US, I would not be inclined to accept even the minor risk of spillage in my luggage.
Rare LHT28 Posted August 9, 2023 #5 Share Posted August 9, 2023 Depends on which one you prefer the taste of We like the Italian ones but we have not tried the Spanish ones
Rare Mary229 Posted August 9, 2023 #6 Share Posted August 9, 2023 We do like olive oil and bring it back often along with cheeses. Do a taste test as olive oils have many variables. Some of the very best olive oil I have ever had was Syrian. Due to the nature of cruising you may not be able to visit a shop or region for good olive oil but it sure is fun searching.
