What are some good restaurants near the port for lunch?

What do you mean by good?  Cheap?  Tasty?  Local food?  Fine dining?  Trendy?  Vegan?

 

And how far from the port are you willing to venture?  Walking distance only?  Taxi?  Bus?

My Bar @ Sunset House

We loved My Bar at Sunset House as well. It's a really big restaurant (outside and under a roof for most of it) with a huge bar as well, right on the water. You can see the ships in port. The food was really good. If you like to snorkel, you can do that there as well. 

 

Just pay attention to your bills at any place when they come, they add on the tip to it and if you don't know that, you'll be double tipping!

note also that the Cayman Dollar is fixed to the US dollar but is not EQUAL TO the US dollar

 

the 'street' exchange rate is typically $1US equals 80 cents CI

 

or your $10 is $8 CI

IME these are typical prices in Cayman and autogratuity is common as well
