Talked to an amazing family on the elevator and in the hallway. Parents and 3 kids. First cruise. I asked about Camp Ocean… little girl says “but the PS5 has been busy”. I said to make a craft, art, play a game… older brother says “go drown” I died.

Talked to Marko about today’s VV cancellation. He says he doesn’t believe the reasoning. I don’t either. How do you cancel a full ship due to supples and staffing yet suspend hiring for the whole month of September.

So I’m the elevator minding my own business and I see a roving gang of children. I saw this same gang earlier on the stairs. One YOUNG girl like at the most 14, on the stairs was saying F that F this. On the elevator she said GD and MF. I’d had enough. She was upset about the AC on the elevator. I told her the AC was amazing at the kids club and on the outer deck. Told her to make a craft. 
I may get kicked off this ship. But she should have her mouth washed out. DH works in the oil field and that’s still not ok.

I don’t have any plans to cruise VV and I thought it was off. The status match is a little much, yes MSC does it but they’re privately owned and a large portion of their business was viable during the pandemic. With Vantage going under I’m not booking anything but mainstream lines.

The status match with VV is insane. $100 bar tab, expedited everything, extra cocktail party, and my whole wardrobe of laundry. DH was passed packing the Carnival paper bag after Virgin.

It depends on what generation you ask. I'm 70 so I laugh at the question.

 

When I was about 9 I saw another kid that was a few years older than me in line at the 7-11 popping off with language. The old lady in front of him turned around and slapped him yelling something along the lines of "how dare you use that kind of language in front of a lady." The guy behind the counter told him to get out.

 

These days that lady would probably be arrested.

 

I'm not sure how the slap affected the poor darling, but I still can't say certain words in front of a lady...
