Mrs_R Posted March 18, 2006 #1 Share Posted March 18, 2006 We want to book a cruise but our TA is, well, on a cruise. It looks like our cruise is close to full and we're afraid that if we wait we'll miss out. If we book it directly with the cruiseline, RSSC, can we later switch the booking to our TA? And if she can give us better pricing would she be allowed to make adjustments?
molly361 Posted March 18, 2006 #2 Share Posted March 18, 2006 Yes it is done all the time- you just have to notify the cruiseline who you are switching the booking to, then your TA calls them and takes it over and you should be able to get her price (I have done this several times with different cruise lines)
Rare Keith1010 Posted March 18, 2006 #3 Share Posted March 18, 2006 Yes, just call the cruise line to find out how to move the cruise booking to your TA or when you TA gets back from vacation have the TA contact the cruise line to find out how this works for you. This might be able to be done over the phone or it might require a letter from you. It varies by cruise line. On the last question, you will need to talk with your TA about that. But, getting better pricing (if you can) won't be affected by whether or not you initially booked your cruise with the cruise line. Keith
