Norwegian Star dinner reservations 3 nights

For my upcoming cruise, I will have 3 nights of specialty dining on the Norwegian Star ship (2 adults). Which 3 restaurants would you book at? Choices are:

 

Moderno Churrascaria

La Cucina

Cagney’s Steakhouse

Le Bistro

Teppanyaki

Sushi - this is a restaurant choice but I don’t care for sushi so won’t be choosing this one

I would (and do) choose Cagneys, La Cucina and Teppenyaki but sometimes I go to Le Bistro instead of La Cucina.  You can check the sample menus on your cruise planner to see if any of the menu items take your fancy

If you haven't done Teppanyaki, that's a good choice. If you HAVE done it recently, maybe something else would be better.

Moderno is nice with a great "starter/sallad/soup" table apart from the meat.

Le Bistro is nice too and I would choose it over Cagneys if I can't do both

I am 100% sure you will receive a lot of different answers, but this is what we would go with:  Moderno, La Cucina and Cagney's.     We were (and still are) disappointed with the disappearance of the filet at Teppanyaki and did not enjoy our meal there in March as we usually do.   We have also never been to Le Bistro and most likely never will.

You can go to a steak house and Italian restaurant anywhere. And we are not a cagney’s fan.

We're not fancy, so no Le Bistro. We're also not into Cagney's as the quality is...well, not good.

My husband was a naysayer about Le Bistro being ‘too fancy’ but had to admit it was the best meal on our Star cruise in June.

I'm not a giant fan....others that cruise with me are. 🙂 That's why it's in my top three....although with the exception of one time, the food has been good. I'd be ok without the show! I was always taught to eat everything on my plate. I blame that philosophy on being a fatty. 🎅

if not such a big meat eater, but in general can handle an occasion big meal:

le bistro - but make 4 reservations and then check Le Bistro menu onboard to make sure it suits. The most recent menus I’ve seen…suit. The last NCL cruise, Le Bistro menu did not suit us.

La Cucina best(better steak than Cagnies)

 

Find them best value use of a voucher

We sometimes add Sushi to the Asian with vouchers.

 

Moderno does not fit with OH likes, great salad bar

 

Tepanyaki would seafood and go for show if people traveling with wanted.

 

I used be steak heavy but now the rest of the menu options with drive our selections.

La Cucina food was good, atmosphere was like a cafeteria. Very little to distinguish it. We should have gone elsewhere!

Oh, and we had two dinners in Cagney’s. Both great!

Thanks everyone for your input. I shared with my husband the information. Instead of picking our top 3 choices he said we should just do the upgrade option for 2 more meals and try all 5!
