@aryavibhu from what I understand you can get the Turkey visas on arrival. People warned about late arrivals where you might not be able to get them on site. I went ahead and got ours for $52 each. I figured that after travelling from Northern California, we wouldn't be in any state to deal with it upon landing.

Thank you

Yes, Norwegian will arrange Visa for everyone on board and it's free. I'd rather do it on line for Turkey visa, you get it same day you apply. NCL should have sent you the link. I've seen a long line at the airport whose trying to get visa. You can't claim your luggage without the Visa. I suggest you get it online.

Thank you. It's interesting that I've called NCL a few times BUT for some reason, they do not confirm that they will arrange for Visa for Alexandria Port.

Much appreciate your first-hand input as you are going through it. Please do share any Do's or Dont's as few of us will be on the same ship & ports from Nov 22nd. Thanks!!!

You are welcome. We are now in Cyprus.I will give an update if any changes. Have fun in Istanbul and the pyramids, it's so worth the visit.

I also recommend NCL arranged tour. NCL provides security officer on the bus and a police escort going to Cairo.

It's a few years since I was in Egypt, but I think this is pretty standard for all tours. It might actually even be compulsory, at least for buses.

Any suggestions on reliable tour companies from Alexandria port? Thanks

Unfortunately I don't. I have no plans to travel in that region, so I haven't done any research in a long time.

If you haven’t done so already, a good place to research this and ask your question is over in the Africa and Middle East ports of call forum:
