Arvia missing Lisbon today

According to her schedule Arvia should have been in Lisbon today but on Marine Traffic she has sailed right past and is heading for Gibraltar which is not scheduled, anyone got any ideas? I know the weather is pretty bad down there so maybe the call was cancelled.

It was announced onboard yesterday morning that they would call at Gibraltar tomorrow instead of Lisbon today.

 

This is due to the forecast bad weather/strong winds.

Noticed strange manoeuvre on tracking 2.30am yesterday morning doing a 360 deg turn maybe just a practice manoeuvre for the crew on the bridge

The 360 turn was to investigate an upturned life raft in the sea. Empty and no risk to life, so we proceeded to Gibraltar where the weather was much better than Lisbon would have been the day before. Proceeded to Malaga and now Barcelona as scheduled.

Celebrity were stuck in Lisbon and Arvia had to go into Gib.  We were on Aurora and were told the port was closed so we could not dock.  We sailed to Southampton in Force 10 with a "high"sea.  Very uncomfortable indeed.

Understand Cunard held back Queen Victoria in the Channel because aside from the Force 10, the wind was against.

 

Aurora and Queen Victoria should have passed at the top of the Bay of Biscay.

Celebrity Silhouette arrived in Southampton 12 hours late yesterday,,,too late to start her TA.

She is still in Southampton now boarding passengers for the TA.

Aurora and Queen Victoria should have passed at the top of the Bay of Biscay.

As we had no announcements from the Captain from Gib to Southampton, nobody mentioned passing Q Vic.
