Vancouver airport luggage area?

I will be flying from Toronto and meeting my sister from Montreal at Vancouver airport before our cruise.

I was thinking of meeting her in the luggage pickup area.

At the Toronto airport, there are no seats in the luggage area until you go through the exit doors with your luggage.

Are there seats in the luggage area or will there be seats in another area to meet her?

There are very few seats in the domestic luggage pick up area but I’ve usually been able to find one while my husband collects our luggage. So there are a few in the luggage pick up area & just outside the luggage pick up area so she should be ok.

Agreed, there are a few seats available along the low faux-stone wall in domestic arrival luggage area.

There are six carousels, 1,2 and 3 for Westjet and 4,5,6 for Air Canada, separated by an open hallway. As long as you know which airline your sister is flying on, you will be fine.
