Am on a cruise soon & my Medallion app shows the following:

EMERALD PRINCESS

09-Dec-2023

Check-in Window

Deck 10 Caribe

10:30 AM - 02:00 PM

Cabin C617

Followed by a bar code that looks something like this,

& then the following:

Proceed to Green Lane

Have your Medallion and travel documents visible upon arrival.

@trbarton, I believe most readers were confused by your comment using ‘bar code’ whereas it is a QR code. When you arrive at the terminal for checkin and if you already have your Medallion, your Medallion is scanned/read and your passport verified.

If you do not have your Medallion, you go to the blue line for pick up and passport verification. Again, the QR code is not scanned/used.

I have yet to see any port personnel scan the QR code on the APP or anyone on the ship ask to see it.

What you have displayed is not a Bar Code, it's a Scanner Code.

It's actually a "QR" code.

A jeopardy answer was QR stands for Quick Response

There are plenty of online sites that let you generate your own QR code.

That might be run for princess checkin...

Yeah,  we've always been Green Lane at embarkation,  and never needed to show anything from the app.  As long as you've got your medallion and required form of ID, that's all we've ever needed.
