Seriously? They need the flexibility to meet the needs/preferences of all their guests.

The beds are very comfortable and I’ve never been able to tell they could be separated even though I knew.  They are not cheap.

I don’t think they are going to keep a supply of twin and king size mattresses around to switch out every cruise…

I didn’t even know until the fourth night that it was two mattresses. It’s pretty seamless. I’d stop agonizing over it.
