Is there a current health screening when boarding Princess? What are their protocols re Covid and cancellation and refunds. I am having difficulty trying to find this information.

Thank you.

It's pretty well back to pre-Covid status now, it's just treated as any other respiratory virus. No screening, no vaccination requirements, no refunds if you have to cancel due to Covid, and charges for medical treatment if you catch it onboard. If you do catch it onboard isolation is 5 days from onset of symptoms. Unfortunately too many people don't report having symptoms and just carry on enjoying themselves so there are minor outbreaks on some cruises. Make sure you have travel insurance.

If you get Covid as well, please isolate.

There is enough covid being spread by people who don't even know they have it, without those who know they have it spreading it as well.

Prior to covid, there was a health survey form. That doesn't even exist anymore.

There is no screening, no declaration, and cancelling a cruise due to covid is just between you and your travel insurance. Our health authorities, nor Princess, require you to test so it is presumed you need to be unwell to be doing a pre-cruise test. The same applies to the other 1000's aboard, so it is fair to assume there are passengers with gastro, covid, and general respiratory infections on each cruise and you need to take the appropriate precautions that apply to you.

Will isolate if needs be. Had latest covid vaccination last week so fingers crossed it does the job. A frien who recently cruised on Coral was miffed that she had to isolate while obviously unwell people w continued to enjoy their freedom.

According to the literature the vaccine only helps to lessen any symptoms you may have, not prevent catching it. If you test positive, it is just common decency that you isolate until a negative test is conducted.

As the nurse on our recent Regent cruise, where we both caught Covid, said " thank you for doing the right thing".

If everyone did that Covid wouldn't be able to spread.

Thank you. I do appreciate that is the right thing to do and did say I would isolate if necessary.
