RobinCruiser Posted January 12 #3 Share Posted January 12 Happy Friday everyone! Thanks for the poem Belle! Enjoy your time aboard. Jan, weight watchers helped my friend lose a lot of weight but of course after she stopped watching, she gained it back. I'm happy to report that I'm down 3 pounds this week. And that's mostly due to feeling icky and not eating much. Blah! Have a good weekend everyone!
Izena Posted January 13 #4 Share Posted January 13 Sorry late posting. Slowly getting back on track. Still working on resolving stressors ie getting bp under control (better but side effects of a drug has me concerned) scheduling cataract surg (debating abt old flashed vs one with laser waiting for Dr feedback ). hope everyone is safe with the bad weather. My son is stuck in Milwaukee. I’m glad I got the generator (acquaintances who opted to remodel inside of home before generator are hinting abt coming over - I’m not taking the bait ). I’ll continue to work on getting back to my routine. Still walking dog 2-4 miles a day - he decides how far)
Jan_In_Maine Posted January 13 #5 Share Posted January 13 (edited) RobinCruiser - congratulations on losing weight - 3# is wonderful. I went to a weight watchers meeting once and it wasn't what I wanted. I find that I do the best if I just count my calories and then stop when I reach my daily amount. I just can't seem to get motivated to really do it! Izena - glad you posted and that you are doing a little better. Good that your dog still wants to walk. I've never had any side effects from the bp meds I take ... hope you get that worked out (and your cataract surgery works out well). The weather in Maine sucks! But, so does the weather in most part of the states. We are having a snow storm right now, but they say it will turn over to rain with higher winds. So many people have lost shingles, etc. The only thing that is nice is that it isn't getting dark here until after 4:15. Looking forward to spring! Jan Edited January 13 by Jan_In_Maine can't spell! Belle Posted January 14 Author #6 Share Posted January 14 You know I am a sweet, wonderful person. Not a mean bone in my body BUT have to say it. It's in the 70's here in Hawaii.😄 Sorry. You all be careful out there driving and such. Please just stay home if really bad Don't want to worry about you all. 1
SoloAlaska Posted January 15 #7 Share Posted January 15 Hi ladies I’m back. cruise was great until I got really sick. Ended up spending many days in bed and took me about 2 weeks to recover. Then it was the holidays and getting back home and back to work. I haven’t weighed myself in a week but since the last weigh in on CC and last week I had lost 9.8lb. I’m still finishing unpacking my office but eventually will be settled into my new work from home situation. This week I’m joking the gym as a way of getting out of the house on a regular bases.
Jan_In_Maine Posted January 16 #8 Share Posted January 16 Sorry SoloAlaska that you got sick ... hate when that happens! Glad you are ok now. Jan
Izena Posted January 16 #9 Share Posted January 16 Solo great loss , sorry you were sick. My son still stuck in Milwaukee. He suppose to go to Denver tomorrow. Won’t be home for a week. Jazzper and I are sleeping in his room since it’s the warmest. Been stuck in house since Sunday. Texans don’t know how to drive in icy weather (actually they’re horrible drivers don’t observe any rules of the road). Good thing about being stuck in the house I can’t dash out for a sugar fix.
