@Georgia_Peaches, I will be sailing on the Edge/Alaska a little earlier than you.  I will post about my cruise when the time comes.

Re crab/salmon, hopefully you can enjoy a nice seafood dinner in Seattle the evening before your cruise,

We are on the Edge in August and look forward to your and @Georgia_Peaches reviews. We do have a SV cabin as we really enjoyed our aft cabin the last time we did Alaska many many years ago.

Thanks!  We also have a SV on the Edge, and I am looking forward to enjoying that.  We opted not to book Aqua Class so we could have a SV.  To replace Blu, we purchased a specialty dining package, and also booked a dinner (or two) in Eden.  We were able to reserve our dining time in Eden as well.

How were you able to book a dinner in Eden with the Specialty dining package? I thought you had to wait until one was on board to book.

I don't think @Ferry_Watcher used the dining package to book Eden...at least that's how I read it.

Rats, I was hoping he had a way to book with the dining package before boarding.

You could always give them a call..not sure if it will work, but can't hurt.

Correct, booking Eden was done separately - I believe that Eden isn't covered under the specialty dining package.

Excellent information!  Thank you...I'm on it!  I think DT is more our vibe.  Will look into the options posted by @Ferry_Watcher as well.

I like staying at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Seattle. If you have Chase reward points you can transfer them to Hyatt and do a points booking for quite good value. It's reasonable walking distance from Link light rail as well which you can use to get to downtown from the airport.
