Silhouette Retreat Deck

Recommended Posts

Was last on the Silhouette in 2019 before the addition of the Retreat deck. Will be sailing her again at the end of Feb.

For anyone who’s been on it since, did you enjoy this space? I believe there is just a hot tub water feature, are there cold showers where you could cool off under if it’s really hot?
Was it very crowded on sea days? Easy to find chairs? Shaded areas? Is there a bar on that level, or does the server need to go down to the pool bar to get your drinks? Appreciate any info!

On December cruise, the space was not crowded. Yes there is a bar. Service was great. Not much shade. Yes a hot tub. I did not notice a shower but I was not looking for one. Excited to compare it to Beyond later this month.

Were on second cruise after refit and also last year. The furniture has been redone and there is a bar on deck 16 and a hot tub which is at deck 15 level along with a toilet block close to the tub. Not sure about showers.

We have done around 4 weeks at this time of year and there have always been seating or sun beds available. The beds in the shade are hard to come by but if you are happy in the sun you are ok. They do serve food there but there are not a lot of tables in the shade.

Like all sun decks at the front of the ship it can be windy. In 2020, trying to serve only Luminae food, the wouldn’t give fries with any of the food as the restaurant was too far away and served crisps. The wind blew them everywhere. Last year the put one of the Luminae chefs in the mast food areas and served from there which was fine.

At lunch time there are usually some Luminae staff to help with service.
