Everyone is different but it wouldve been a huge highlight for me, so hope you get to do it.

What ship you on? Divina?

I'm actually doing a quasi-B2B.

I'll be on the Seascape March 23 in a YC balcony with my wife and kids. On that cruise, we are only in Ocean Cay for the day like you.

At the end of the cruise, I'll get off with my family, spend a day in Miami, and then take them to the airport, and head up to Ft Lauderdale.

The next day (March 31) I'll get on the Seashore solo in an interior cabin. On that cruise, we have an overnight in OC, so I'll do this stargazing.

We get casino comps and I have to be back in Florida the next week for an industry tradeshow so it was cheaper to do a free casino comp than it was to fly home and back a week later. (I also traded my wife a trip for her to go in a girl's trip while I watch the kids).

After that, I'm actually killing a couple more days with a cruise on Margaritaville at Sea...I know it's going to be a 💩 show, but their casino comp'd me and threw in a bunch of other freebies so I figured it would be worth a try to see if it's as bad as everybody says. (I'll still have fun...I have zero expectations and I can typically find the good in just about anything).

I appreciate you sharing your cruise with us... You've definitely given me some great ideas about what to look for on my cruise (like stargazing!).

@Ryan82 Just posted a topic on this but thought you might be able to answer if you see this, what terminal should we book our Uber to for Seascape?

Hope you had a great cruise and safe trip home.

Terminal C

Last stop of our cruise was Ocean Cay and I first got to see it from the vantage point up on the buffet on deck 16. Got to admit - when you first look at it - it's a tiny bit underwheming - because it does look small.

However, appearances really are deceptive. When we got off to explore, it really felt like we'd landed on a small piece of paradise. There' a good nhmber of spread-out beaches lined with lounge chairs. There's a few beach bars jotted around so you're never too far from a drink.

There were food trucks, but we ate at the buffet called Seekers. Although the food trucks said open until 6pm they were all closed at 5pm.

We did the light house climb (only 150 steps so pretty easy going). We also did Kayaking which was fun. We stayed until the lighthouse show at 6.30pm which was quite spectacular.

Thanks so much for doing this.  As someone who usually does a ‘Live from’ I get the amount of time and effort it takes.  The information on the Cozumel excursion was especially helpful.

Have a safe journey home.

I really appreciate the reports, makes me more excited about ours in a few months. How was the buffet on OC? That's another one I keep reading horror stories about the lines and crowds. Do the food trucks have just basic burgers\dogs, I assume?

The buffet on Ocean Cay was great. Burgers  hotdogs, pork chops, fish, chicken, good selection of salads and desserts. Queue looked huge (I thought I'd end up going back to ship) but there's two lines and it moves quickly. The food trucks barely seemed to be open, but that might very well have just been at the times we passed them. At.least one paid for icecream and coffee truck too.

Hey @Ryan82 I ran across YouTube drone footage video of Seascape's departure on 27 January. Thought you might be interested. Maybe you can see yourself? 🙂

Thanks for sharing I'll check it out.

I just want to swing by here and THANK you for this thread. We do a lot of Celebrity cruises (non retreat) and have no interest in Yacht Club on MSC. We enjoy cruising and always book an interior cabin because we are hardly in it and simply like being on the water.

We were looking to try other cruise lines as Celebrity has really ramped up their prices for what you get whether Retreat or non Retreat cruiser. We ended up deciding to give MSC a try and booked the SeaScape for November. Of course, all we have read is the "horrible" experiences online that started to make us re-think MSC - mixed in with people who enjoy it. However, after reading this thread, we feel like we have to give MSC at least a shot...especially for the price of 1/2 of what Celebrity is charging for the same thing.

Glad to see you enjoyed your cruise and thank you for giving a play by play of everything.

Us too! We have never really considered MSC until now.  We are taking a cruise in May and trying out the Yacht Club as we got a good price. The prices for Royal & Celebrity seem to be climbing. I was concerned about MSC after watching some YouTube videos but am feeling more confident now. Happy sailing!

If you are Yacht Club, I hear it's absolutely amazing. Unfortunately, the price just isn't justified on our end and we really wouldn't use all of the amenities. From what I read about the YC, it's an absolute amazing experience.
