Advance Payment to Medical Facility

Hello, 

Could you tell me if the companies on your site offer an option for advance payment to a hospital/medical facility to secure a person's admission if needed?

But just to help in any little way I can, Yes, there are some travel insurance companies out there that will assist in advance payments. You might want to reach out and call whichever broker you were addressing this question to.

 

I think a great question would be; What criteria is required to be met for a travel insurance company to decide to provide an upfront payment?

All our plans can advance payment to a medical facility to secure a person's admission if needed.

 

I've only seen this happen a handful of times.

I can’t imagine they would do this for something like minor stitches. Is there like a dollar amount that the care facility is requiring?

It's done on a case-by-case basis.

 

Coincidently, about 5 hours ago today, a customer called me from a hospital called "Maria Dal Foundation" in Bonaire. She was having trouble reaching her plan's 24 hour assistance line due to a bad phone connection. I myself called her plan's 24 hour assistance line and gave them everything they need to reach her and to contact the hospital.

 

They called her and are taking care of her husband and will be arranging a medical transport when he's stabilized to travel.
