It’s rare for Zuiderdam to come to Saint John.  I checked the port schedule and it was indeed recently added so it looks like that stop will be a go for you 🙂   Norwegian Breakaway was recently added for the same day as Zuidie’s.

Last time we took the Hop on Hop Off and spent a fair amount of time at the rapids.  We missed the market so that is on our to do list.

Definitely hit the City Market - it’s the oldest Market in Canada with tons of different foods, etc.  Lobster rolls there are pretty good usually 😉 

 

There’s also a lovely (somewhat pricey) restaurant on the boardwalk that specializes in sea food including lobster.  If you like breweries, a friend of mine is guide for the brewery tour.  According to him, everyone has a blast on it.

When we were there last year on the Zaandam we were treated to a caviar presentation that HAL was testing.  There was champagne and caviar to be had by all who attended.  I stuck with the champagne and Juan sampled the caviar.  We got picked because we were number 4 and 5 highest mariners onboard and they wanted our feedback. The guy who did the presentation was excellent.

I have 2 HAL cruises up this summer. 

 

July 7 - 14: Westerdam to Alaska. Taking a friend with me and it will be her first trip to Alaska and first cruise. She's soooo excited! We'll be sharing a cabin so it could be interesting. I do have a Signature Suite for this one so the extra space will be nice. 
 

September 7 - 14: Eurodam; Alaska again. This time a friend and her husband are joining me (in their own cabin) and it's also their first cruise and they are very excited. It will be interesting to see Alaska through the eyes of first timers when I've gone so many times. 

 

I also have Princess booked for June and August so all 4 cruises to Alaska and out of Seattle.
