There’s no security at all… if you’re happy go with it 👍

Well I don’t even lock my car at night, so that probably tells you that security isn’t something that I even consider. They’re all jam-packed there so I don’t know how somebody could actually get to the car in the first place!

I once used P4C as my go to for parking. Never again after mine and others recent experiences 😡

We book select and get CPS parking included. I can't be bothered with messing around to save a few quid.

We’ve always done that too, but we have a Princess cruise booked and P4C is around £100 cheaper.

I suppose it all comes down to what you want personally ?

Some folk want to be parked near the ship others happy to park

in the multi saving a few quid.

We've been there and done both, nowt up with either but for us

we now use the Holiday inn or cricket ground Hilton. We do this

for several reasons ..1/  We like to travel the day before and walking

distances or carrying bags is a no due to medical reasons . Wake up

next morning ,have a nice breakfast and at our time jump into a taxi

provided and whisked to the cruise terminal doors ,suits us fine .

That's what it's all about what suits you ,yer make your choice .

Every choice has good and bad ,even the Hilton , you keep your keys

and its covered with cameras and a coded release barrier but on

the down side Do not park under the trees or near the golf range 😬

@devonuk If you don't mind me asking, where do you choose to

park for your cruises now ? 🙂

Yes, Holiday Inn cruise package suits me too. Have used it over 50 times. Worth it, as it removes the pre cruise  stress I would have travelling on the day, and I get an extra night's holiday.

The bad folk don't need your keys, they have their own. Removal of wheels and the catalytic converter don't need keys.🤔

For future reference for anyone who is interested, the Elizabeth House hotel , in The Avenue, offer cruise parking, with no need to stay . Their prices are reasonable for non residents…current price for 2 weeks in June is £180. It’s a 10 minute/ £10 taxi ride to the port terminals. If you stay overnight the night before your cruise ( which we are) the price I have been quoted for 16 nights in August is £152.

That is expensive when you can use an established and highly reviewed meet and greet at port where they take your car to their secure compound close to docks and return your car to terminal. Parking4Cruises is virtually the same and only charges £130-£140 for 14 NTS and is virtually the same as CPS.

Searched for pre cruise stay in hotel and for parking included and couldn't find anyone near £152.

The price quoted by Elizabeth House in July for 1nt pre cruise and 14nts parking is £373.50 which is a considerable amount. You have to price 1nt stay and parking separately and then add together to get inclusive price. £193.50 for room and £180 just for parking.

I have used P4C at least a dozen times.  What problems did you have?

Point I was getting over is Mystic Mother has got a good deal at £152 at the time she booked and going on Elizabeth House web site ,they do not show park and stay prices. You can book parking only or book a room . Site states "phone us for parking prices if you stay with us "

So to me Mystic Mother has got a great price for £152.

I agree with you booking parking only  at Elizabeth House then your quote is far better, if you wanted parking only .

But even if you just pay for parking at Elizabeth House and do not stay pre cruise at £180 for 15 days is not cheap. At £225 for 1nt pre cruise breakfast, 15 days parking and return taxis at Chilworth Manor is excellent value for money.

Fair enough , Mystic mother never said if breakfast was included and she needed £10 each way taxis but  the price she has  been quoted for 16 nights in August  for  £152  is a good price with a room for the night .

But I do not think the price quoted by Mysticalmother was for 1 nt pre cruise and 16 NTS parking for £152. I think she was being charged £152 for parking as she was staying pre cruise but that was not included in that price.

As stated West Quay is a decent bet. We use it all the time when popping into Southampton and have left cars in 24/7 - there are loads left overnight.  For starters no one really steals a car from a public multi story as they have to pay to get out and it has CCTV and ANPR in this case.

Since West Quay was built ( its a big commercial shopping centre) I've never seen any evidence of people breaking into cars ( which is usually broken glass fragments on the ground). Likewise loads of security in the immediate area on foot as I said its a highly productive commercial shopping centre who rely on people using that car park and IKEA next door.

If people want to screw cars there are thousands of poorly lit streets and driveways not that far away.

That said you still have to get to the immediate port area, although nearby might not suit everyone without the hassle of a taxi.

Elizabeth House last September was £268 for room only plus 24  nights parking. Not too bad. Holiday Inn cruise package next month with 15 nights parking, breakfast and taxis is £186, so quite reasonable. However, same package in May is £302! Varies widely depending on time of year.
