we have done a couple of TA's leaving Europe direct to Miami and the sailings were superb with smashing weather........ looking at a TA that leaves Rome to FL with a stop in Bermuda. Having never visited Bermuda would we expect cooler weather since its going slightly North ?

Thanks

We did Silhouette's TA last October and our Bermuda stop was our best weather day.  Lots of folks on the beach.  IMO the port side rooms, catching southern sun during the crossing, would be preferable.

Bermuda weather can fluctuate greatly.  I was there once in late March and highs were in the low 50s.  Highs can also be in the 70s at that time of year.

It's a lovely place to visit, regardless of the time of year.  You won't "freeze."  However, if your intent is to sit on the beach, you might (or might not) need a heavy sweater.

We did a TA from Ft Lauderdale to Lisbon in late March (no stop in Bermuda).  We could sit in the sun in a bathing suit for the first 5-6 days.  The next 2-3, we could sit in the sun in shorts and a sweatshirt.  The last few days, it was really too cold to sit on deck, even in the sun.  Got to Lisbon and it was hot and sunny!

That's one reason TAs are often cheaper than other cruises -- weather can vary greatly in the months they are the most common (March/April and Oct/Nov).

Time of the year would be Oct.

Just a suggestion.  Best way to determine.    Google -- Temperature Bermuda October.

Bermuda’s Weather in October

As busy season cools down, so does the air – but not by much. The island averages 80℉ (27℃), while the average water temperature gets to about 78℉ (26℃) – pleasant temps to help usher in the fall season.

We were also on that cruise.  It was our first westward T/A.  Yes we had great weather in Bermuda warm and sunny, as a matter of fact I remember the weather being mild most of the cruise except for a little rain in Gibraltar.  We also had a port side balcony which was recommended to us as well.

And calm seas too!
