Which cabin? Fwd facing oceanview?

Recommended Posts

Considering our options for our next casino cruise. Options are one of the forward facing oceanview rooms or a more traditional oceanview.. Oasis of the seas. Which one would be better? The main downside of the forward facing rooms l feel like is the long walk but the room may be slightly larger? Screenshot_20240228_124304_Chrome.thumb.jpg.046186478a08bd735c595e799cfb6a48.jpgScreenshot_20240228_124332_Chrome.thumb.jpg.f3df8afe1dc462450327664e6d12b351.jpg

We prefer the longer walks to the stairs/elevators. Also less foot traffic going by our cabin. The best reason (excuse) is how we  justify having the extra nightly desserts. 🤣

was on the alure last year in 8100. Large space in front of window and it was floor to ceiling.  because of the slant it wasn't an area where you could sit but if you wanted to store luggage there it was ok.  Sometimes it got a little hot with the curtains open.  It was a longer walk to get anywhere but not too bad.

Also watch your head when attempting to look out the window. I've bumped my forehead more than once. Slow learner. 😁

I like the layout of these forward-facing rooms. It makes them feel more spacious than the "normal" ones.

If there any on a higher floor available you'll get a better view. They are considered obstructed because they overlook the helipad. The higher you go the less obtrusive that becomes.

We loved ours, walking distances notwithstanding. I agree about not being able to use the area under the slant, and I had to put postits on the window to keep from bumping my head all the time. But we loved the views.  Re keeping the curtains securely closed all night, I heard that is required even after we turn the lights off, as there is still interference from the door peephole, little light on the tv, etc.
